Parents and students had an opportunity to receive valuable information at our High School Night. Representatives from several private high schools and Pinellas County came to give overviews of their programs. After the presentations, each was available to answer questions at their school's information table.

The 8th graders had a supreme test of their abilities to work in a group, problem solve and construction as part of the annual Boat Float at Madeira Beach.  Each group was supplied with cardboard, tape and a box cutter to construct a boat to enter in the big race at the end of the day.  This was all part of their Science class led by Mr. Aunspaugh and chaperoned by several parents.

Living Proof brought their character building message to SPCS.   These young people, from all over the country, inspired our students through performing music and drama from a Christian perspective.

Great job to both teams!

Thank you Boosters and parents for all you did to make these tournaments happen,
for without you these tournaments would not have been the great success that they were.

School Spirit Week was enjoyed by all!

Each day had a different theme...

Being groovy was popular on 70's day.

Favorite Movie Character Day proved to be one of the craziest days.

Bucs, Gators, Seminoles, Yankees, Red Sox and local recreation teams were
among the many outfits seen on campus for Favorite Team Day.

The week ended with School Spirit Day.  Students dressed in the school
colors of Red, White and Blue.  The boys and girls basketball teams both
won their games.  A great time was had by all.

Art Effects the World of SPCS

The focus of the Fine Arts is the uplifting of the soul.  Even though this seems a lofty goal it remains
the focus of the adventures experienced in the Art room each week.  Education is it's second
purpose.  By using our creative talents we have designed entries for submission to the
Dropsavers Water Conservation Tee Shirt Design Contest.
Our past 12 entries to this competition have produced 10 city winners.  This years 3 school
winners are:  Allison Marino, Grade 1, Kevin Covington, Grade 3, and Daniel Sirmons,
Grade 5.  These school winning entries will represent SPCS.  The 3 participating students
and their parents and teachers will attend the awards evening on April 19th.  Good Luck
to all on that night.  The results will be posted right here as soon as we learn the results
.

PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship) Pizza and Ice Cream Social

The PTF and Jammin' Jumpers provided a time of fellowship and fun for the SPCS families recently.  The event was held in the gym with all the pizza and ice cream a child could wish for!  The fun of the "Moon Walk" and inflated "Obstacle Course" for children were surpassed only by the camaraderie enjoyed by moms, dads and teachers!
