Thank you to all our Birthday Book Club friends who participated this year. As you can see, having a birthday can be a

great thing when you celebrate it with good friends! The children enjoyed cookies and
ice cream and special balloons and

blow pop suckers. Each one of our Birthday Book Club students have helped provide a great book to
make our library a

fascinating place to find books about most any subject! Below is a look back at those who participated this school

year. Our January and March birthdays are not here though. I apologize for the missing students as I wasn’t able to get

the students pictures at that time. If you want to become part of this special group, come by the library
and see

Mr. McLeod. Happy Reading everyone!

Have a great summer everyone!

Congratulations to everyone that earned the Lunch with Mr. McLeod reward. The students earned a lunch with

Mr. McLeod by reading over half
the books that were on the Sunshine State Young Readers Award book

list for third through fifth grade. Each of the students received a lunch meal from the Fourth Street Chick Fil-A,

their SSYRA book, a Chick Fil-A and Panera
Bread gift certificate and a free book card to the upcoming book

fair.
Congratulations to all the students and their reading efforts!

Kindergarten celebrates St. Patrick's Day with Green Eggs and Ham and a visit from the Cat in the Hat.

Flip Flop Spring Fling
The Flip Flop Spring Fling on Saturday, March 3rd was a big hit! The event planned, chaired and carried out by SPCS parents brought in an amazing $81,866.00 for the capital campaign. Fun was had by all!!! We praise God for His unbelievable blessing and thank God for those who tirelessly worked to make this event a success.

We're giving Thanks at SPCS!

The entire student body, faculty and friends of SPCS took time to refect on God's goodness and blessings at the annual Thanksgiving service on the lawn.   Students lined up to share their own thoughts on reasons to be grateful.

New East Wing Dedication

New life comes to the former funeral home.  Our new East Wing was dedicated on November 17, 2006.  Dr. Palmer, Robert Barcley, P.A. and Pastor Tim Suddreth of Suncoast Cathedral prayed blessings over the new classrooms and the students and families that will be using them in coming years.   Kindergarten students who attend classes in the East Wing serenaded the crowd to celebrate the dedication.

Finance Park

The 8th grade went to Finance Park at the Gus A. Starvos Institute where they practiced how to balance a budget by paying bills, buying a car and a house, and taking their family out to Outback.
A fun time was had by all.

Sea Camp 2006

The seventh grade study of Life Science took on new meaning when the class traveled to Sea Camp in the Florida Keys.  The four day adventure held snorkeling, a study of aquatic life, an evening water exploration and much more!

Second Graders visit Lowry Park Zoo

The sixth grade class had a great time at the Ropes Course. This two day field trip gave them an opportunity to spend valuable time together.  St. Pete Christian is very proud of the way our sixth graders conducted themselves. Great job sixth graders!

We are excited about starting a new school year at SPCS!
